We can and do ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, some brands cannot be shipped to international destinations because of our wholesale contracts with the manufacturer. Manufacturers want people in other countries to buy from local retailers there, not import from the US. If we cannot fulfill an order to your country, you will be notified and provided with a full refund.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

When will my order ship?

We normally ship on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, California (Pacific) time. If an item is out of stock, we will email you to let you know. Otherwise, you can assume that your product will ship the next shipping day after you place your order. If you get your order in early on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday, we can probably even get it out the same day.

If you need your package to arrive by a certain date, please let us know as soon as possible. We can advise you on the level of service needed.

When we do ship, you'll get an email at the address on file. It will have your tracking number, so if you want to know where your package is at any time, you can look it up yourself

Returns Policy

  • You may return new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price (not including shipping, see below). We'll pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.), otherwise return shipping cost is your responsibility. If it's an exchange, we will cover the shipping cost of the exchange item back to you.
  • Product must be in like new condition if opened
    If you have tried on the product or taken it out of the package, you will get a full refund if it is in LIKE NEW CONDITION. This means no stains, marks, lint, etc. Please inspect the product and wipe off any spit-up marks or food with a clean, damp cloth. If you tried on the carrier while wearing a fuzzy sweater, please use a lint roller and de-lint it. If we have to clean spit-up, food, fuzz or lint from your returned carrier, cleaning fees will be deducted from your refund.
  • Product must include all original materials, including manuals and branded packaging.
    If these are missing from the return, there will be a replacement fee deducted from the refund amount.
  • Please be sure to include the original packing slip (if you still have it), a return slip, or a note with your contact information.
    Very difficult to give a refund to anonymous returns. We're not yet 100% on our psychic abilities. Also, please let us know what you prefer, a refund or an exchange. If an exchange, what do you want to exchange for?
  • If you received FREE SHIPPING for an order over $50, and your returned item/s bring your order total *below* $50, then the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from your return refund.

    Example 1: You purchase a baby carrier for $120 and a set of drool pads for $20. Your order total is $140 and your order ships for free. You return the baby carrier and keep the drool pads. Now your order total drops to $20, so no longer qualifies for free shipping. You receive a refund of $120 for the returned baby carrier - $10 shipping (based on the weight of the returned item) = $129 total refund.

    Example 2: You purchase a baby carrier for $120 and a set of drool pads for $20. Your order total is $140 and your order ships for free. You return the unused drool pads and keep the baby carrier. Your order total drops to $120, still qualifies for free shipping. You receive a full refund of $20 for the drool pads.

Make sense? The Portable Baby is me, a mom of two kids, working out of my garage. I'm not a mega corporation. I'm not I don't have venture capital or angel investors and a pile of cash to burn through. This is a bootstrap operation all the way.

You get product brought to your doorstep to try on in the privacy of your own home. If you don't like it, you get your money back, but you do pay for the service of having it delivered to you in the first place, that's all. I'm happy to offer free shipping on orders, but if you send something back, I can't absorb the cost of your returned item (which takes time to process, examine, clean, sell used) PLUS the shipping fees. That will put me out of business, and I hope to be here a while.

Defects, damages and warranty issues

Any warranty you may have shall be limited to the Manufacturer warranty only. The Portable Baby, Inc. does not provide any product warranties. Manufacturer warranties vary by product, but in general if you have a problem with an item within 90 days of receipt (more on some products) you can expect a replacement.

If you discover a defect at any point, or if your product develops a problem, please let me know ASAP. That way I can connect you with the manufacturer. I also like to personally keep track of any problems you experience with a product. That information is important for me to know.

While I can't be responsible for the manufacturer's issues or products outside of the coverage of the manufacturer's warranty, I will do my very best to help you out.

What is the return address, and how should I ship my return?

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

You can ship the returned item(s) any way you like, just be sure to insure it. If I don't receive the product, I can't give you a refund. I personally recommend UPS or FedEx Ground because they offer tracking and are inexpensive, but USPS Priority Mail or Parcel Post work well also.
